Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: Bat Goddess Date: 25 Nov 13 - 05:09 PM I just resubscribed from a different email address than I had been subscribed from. I've been inactive for awhile and subscribed from an email address that is mostly listservs, newsletters and the like and doesn't get checked that often. Plus, as most of you know, I've had a lot on my plate for the past couple years. I tried yesterday to post Tom's obit and it got kicked back twice. Glad I searched for this and found the necessary information to get back in the list's good graces. Linn |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: MartinRyan Date: 28 Oct 13 - 08:07 PM Excellent list. Regards |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: Jeri Date: 28 Oct 13 - 07:14 PM The long version is to send and e-mail to list@list.indiana.edu On the subject line, type "subscribe ballad-l" and send After that, the messages will go to your in-box. |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: RTim Date: 28 Oct 13 - 07:01 PM What if I use, as I do, AOL Online, ie. I don't have any E-mail software on my computer? Even if I use the link when I sign into Aol, I don't get a prepared message... Tim Radford |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: Jeri Date: 28 Oct 13 - 04:17 PM The link should open your e-mail program with the message prepared. You send the message, and that's how you subscribe. It's an e-mail list. |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 28 Oct 13 - 03:54 PM I don't remember if it was the List subscribe or the L list that I got through to get membership. No fee, only email address required. They asked for a password, but then I was notified that I was a member, and no password req'd. Useful site. The last entry listed a book I have wanted was on ebay, and I made a bid. |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: RTim Date: 28 Oct 13 - 03:19 PM How does one actually Subscribe to Ballad-L?? The Link above just takes me to an e-mail site - but does not subscribe me?? Also - you can only look at the archive if you are a subscriber!! Tim Radford |
Subject: New BALLAD-L listserv and archive From: and e Date: 28 Oct 13 - 11:00 AM One can subscribe to the new BALLAD-L list at List-Subscribe: list@list.indiana.edu?subject=subscribe%20ballad-l The new BALLAD-L archive is found here:
The old BALLAD-L archive seems to have disappeared with the change in listserv software. I have a backed up a copy of the BALLAD-L messages from 1999 to 2009. Would anyone be interested in having a copy? |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: Wolfhound person Date: 13 Jun 12 - 05:47 PM Postings that I get from it are coming from: ballad-l-request@iulist.indiana.edu if that helps. It changed its structure (and address, presumably) a few weeks ago. Hope this helps Paws |
Subject: RE: BALLAD-L From: RTim Date: 13 Jun 12 - 04:32 PM All old Listserv Lists, eg both Ballad-L and Morris Discussions list, have been discontinued, as the Listserv software (or what ever) are now obsolete. The Morris list can now be found as - morris-l@iulist.iupui.edu But as yet, I have NOT been able to find the Ballad-l list. The new archives for morris is at https://iulist.iupui.edu/sympa/arc/morris-l/2012-06/mail2.html, but again I can find no similar archives for the Ballad-l Tim Radford |
Subject: BALLAD-L From: GUEST,bigJ Date: 13 Jun 12 - 04:25 PM I seem to be having difficulty reaching the Ballad Forum at BALLAD-L@LISTSERV.INDIANA.EDU. Since their IRTRAD-L Archives list is OK and some people here are contributors to the forum does anyone know of any problems? |
