Only a week to go...

Lymm Folk Club has a star-studded lineup during this year's Lymm Village Festival...

• Thursday 28th June - Quicksilver
  
• Saturday 30th June - Sarah Horne & James Cudworth / Pete Shirley DOUBLE BILL!
  
• Sunday 1st July - John Kirkpatrick
  
• Wednesday 4th July - Jaywalkers
  
• Thursday 5th July - Zoe Mulford
  
• Saturday 7th July - Festival Ceilidh with Nelson Peach, caller Rob Philips
  
  In addition to these events are our usual FREE events:
  
  
• Saturday 30th June from Noon - Breakfast with Marmalade (open session)
  
• Saturday 30th June from 2.00pm - Acoustic Concert (see website)
  
• Sunday 1st July from 2.00pm - Songwriting Competition (with cash prizes!)
  
• Monday 2nd July - Festival Singers Night

Quicksilver is a computer utility software program for Mac OS X, originally developed by Blacktree Software and distributed freely.

Please save me 4 tickets for Hg and 4 for JK. I'll probably need 2 for Jaywalkers and some others as well but I'll let you know when I've counted my pennies.

Hi Bernard.

I played a few time with a band called Quicksilver. They were fronted by a guy called Mike Ruff, who sang and played piano-accordion. Is this the same crowd?

As I'm sure the previous contributors know, Quicksilver are the incredibly talented guitarist/songwriter Grant Baynham and the virtuoso vocalist Hilary Spencer. Quality entertainment, not to be missed!

Quicksilver took the name because of thier first initials... Hilary and Grant... Hg is Mercury... aka quicksilver...
They are a brilliant duo - Hilary's voice (remember her from Artisan and Mrs Ackroyd Band?) is to die for, and Grant can knock the odd chord out of his guitar!!
