Tina has just taken a phone call from the father of Jim Causley. The brunt of the conversation was that Jim was not very well at all (no further information) and would not be able to appear at the gigs that he has been booked at in the near future - and that obviously includes our club at the Royal Oak in Lewes next Thursday. I immediately phoned Marilyn of the Chichester club and she had received the same message about Jim's scheduled appearance there next Tuesday.
I checked Jim's gig list on his website and it lists the following for Jim for the next week:-

• Fri, 22/06/2012
Forest Folk - Song & Ale Weekend
North Boarhunt, Hants
• Sun, 24/06/2012
Teignmouth Folk Festival
• Tue, 26/06/2012
Chichester Folk Song Club
• Thu, 28/06/2012
Folk at the Royal Oak, Lewes

I know that others will want to join the Chichester and Royal Oak Lewes organisers in wishing the very best to Jim and a speedy return to his normal cheery, chirpy and very talented self.
