Ahh yes, i also am a 'refugee' from the now very sadly defunct SAFRA annual bash, but am sure my 1st Clecky will make up for it, better late than never. Speaking of which, wonder if that lovely duo Better Late will be there.

I've never been to it though it's close by as I've always been elsewhere. Are there any pubs suitable for an English music session?

Great festival, big flat lush green field to camp in, food tent on site, usually a bus that takes you into town. Great pubs especially the Wickham who serves excellent beers and music sessions all weekend. Just hope the sun comes out.

Mind, it's clashing with feckin football again, so some pubs may prefer it [ again ]

Chris, let us know when and where you're going to be and we'll join you for an English session - just need to make sure on the programme that we're not doing something else.

Sylvia and Keith

Hi Sylvia. Bit difficult to say where when or whether I'll be along at all ATM, with things venue-wise being vague and all. I've PM'd you.

Well, that was my first Cleckie fest. A great w/end it was too. The weather didn't dampen the spirits. I was booked to camp but chickened out on Thursday and stayed in b & b instead....may use the tent next year tho all bein well.

Am with you Ray on the singarounds. I went up to the Wickham a couple of times but far too heaving. Am sure you or Joe & Mo or t'other MC's could run a good couple of singarounds in the George or Commercial upstairs.

A few of my fave moments? Well Vin G of course, and the Youg Uns (please bring back for a star billing sometime), Blackstone Edge, Martin Simpson, Mike Forsyth from Copper Kettle (well done to him - hope Peter gets better soon) and of course the always brilliant and lovely Hazel and Linda of Hissyfit.

Anyroadup, many thanks to all the committee for a fab w/end and hope to see y'all next yerar.

A really really great festival in what has to be the friendliest town in Yorkshire. didn't see many main acts but really enjoyed Fyrish Phil Cockerham and joining the fab Keith and Sylvia in Ryan's Cafe.Grand stuff. Then just as we were leaving we spotted a Youngun who gathered the others and held an impromptu concert outside Wetherspoons..priceless. thanks to everyone on the committee for arranging this wonderful festival!
