Subject: RE: Music on a Saturday Night in Dublin? From: MartinRyan Date: 27 Jun 12 - 06:21 PM Saturday night only? Cobblestone is a good suggestion - but is in Smithfield, rather than Capel St. Decent secondhand/antiquarian bookshops now VERY scarce in Dublin. I'll get back with suggestions. Regards |

Subject: RE: Music on a Saturday Night in Dublin? From: GUEST,sturgeon Date: 28 Jun 12 - 01:22 PM I second The Cobblestone. Hughes's, not far away on Chancery Street also has a decent Saturday night session. As for a decent secondhand book store, there's still The Secret Book and Record Store at 15a Wicklow Street and the big Chapters on Parnell Street. |
Subject: RE: Music on a Saturday Night in Dublin? From: MartinRyan Date: 28 Jun 12 - 01:30 PM On bookshops: Yes - two good recommendations there. Two more antiquarian shops are Cathach Books in Duke Street and Stokes Books in the Market Arcade, George's Street. Regards |

Subject: RE: Music on a Saturday Night in Dublin? From: Carly Date: 28 Jun 12 - 10:37 PM Thanks so much, everyone, for your suggestions! I wish we had more time in Dublin, but at least we are finally getting there, and I hope, like Joe, to return in the future with more time to spend. A-tarting, eh? Not really what I had in mind, but I can't speak for my menfolk! |
