Just a heads up that anyone who visits the American Museum in Bath on Saturday July 7th will be able to hear the very best Autoharp players in the UK, take part in a taster session, join a Carter Family sing along, and handle a variety of different autoharps. Entry to the Museum, open from midday to 5 pm, is not free I am afraid, but the Autoharp stuff is once you get in! Mike Fenton, the only UK member of the US Hall of Fame, will be performing in concert and giving the taster lessons.

Best wishes for a successful event, Bob.

I believe that what you call a 'taster session' is what we across the pond would call an 'autoharp petting zoo.'

Not quite. The taster session will be run by Mike, and he brings 30 harps that he uses to visit schools, all the same, and he runs a 1 hour absolute beginners workshop with these. We will also have a mini petting zoo, where a variety of different harps will be available for the public to try on an ad hoc basis.
