For those in the South-East of the UK who remember the three singing policemen known as Arkie's Toasts - led by Colin Gates - at the Charlwood singaround many years ago, I just thought I'd mention they were reunited last night for one get-together in the monthly singarouns at the Rising Sun. Colin was presiding as usual and the trio gave us some great songs, wonderful moments of comedy and fantastic, powerful singing.

And the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Trevor playing the spoons on Mary's bum...

I had no idea the reunion was on - I just turned up as usual and we were told the trio were in for the evening!

And - yes - we finished up the evening with a roaring, harmonised, roof-raising chorus of "From The Old Half Moon To The Rising Sun".

Sorry I could not attend this one.As an original member of the Charlwood Sessions at the Rising Sun I too have lots of memories of this group who are great fun to be with.
