Subject: RE: Th' Antique Roadshow From: Nigel Parsons Date: 18 Jul 12 - 04:30 AM Contrary to a slanderous rumor that has been circulating, my wife did NOT take me to the "Antiques Roadshow" television program to see what I might bring at auction!! Don Firth Maybe she realised it would be an object lesson in pointlessness. As The Antiques Roadshow often makes clear antiques are worth more 'in working condition & with all their original parts'! Cheers :) |
Subject: RE: Th' Antique Roadshow From: gnu Date: 18 Jul 12 - 04:59 AM Beer... indeed I can attest to the kind and gentle nature of Megan's teasing. Just don't piss her off. As for asking Bruce, he himself has translation woes at times. |
