Your directions include no reference to public transport. Isn't there any?

(Can't make it this year, but I spent some time near Abingdon as a kid so I'm curious).

Here's Skipy's link in a blue clicky . The nearest station is Didcot Parkway (8 miles)and there are buses (no 32) from Oxford via Abingdon and Didcot Parkway to Wantage and Grove -see timetable.

We'll be there!

Skipy, you ARE welcome on this site. We love you!!!

Just sorry that we can't get to Grove this year as it clashes. Wouldn't normally miss it for the world, Grove is lovely!!

It's an awful pity about the clashes with Moira and Whitby, but that's what happens when there are only 4 Mondays in August so Whitby and Moira start a week after Sidmouth finishes. We're just having to arrive late at Whitby this year!

Thanks Guru, but I have been badly beaten up on this site, hence I don't use it much these days, I notice that those with opinions that oppose mine never bring them to the fore at a festival or in a bar!
Look fwd. to seeing you at Lechlade.
Regards to you both.

Bus services may change between publication and the event. Surely it is better to give you the postcode and let you look it up in traveline for yourself than to give information which may prove incorrect.

The bus service is going to change in 3 weeks? I don't think so.

If it is likely to change, the organizers are in a better position to know than Traveline, which only gives current schedules. You don't want to plan travel to a festival only to find that your transport to it has been taken out of service by the time you go (that did actually happen to me once).

Car drivers get all the information they need on that site. Are you implying that they're all too dim to work out a route given a map reference? - maybe they are.

Usually this kind of ignorance is simply because the organizers regard anyone who doesn't have a car as belonging to an inferior caste they want to keep out.

Looking forward to the Weekend.
Thank you for putting a picture of the "Transports" on the website. That brought back a few memories.

It's good that Sue Brown and Lorraine Irving are back.
I expect we are in for a treat with songs from their new CD, "The 15th Bedroom".

This is just the most delightful festival and we are desolated we can't be there this year. Oh, and what's all this about Skipy not being welcome? More Mudcat politics? A nicer human being you couldn't wish to meet anywhere.

Shame to miss a nearby and very enjoyable weekend but a holiday needed so staying RHB and dropping into Whitby.

We ( Simon, Alison and me ) nearly split our sides at the Not Folk session run by Pete & Denise last year and we have doing some material that would fit so well but can't be everywhere!!

Wish YOu Were Here at Olympic closing reminded me of attempt to ignite my trousers doing same song at WHFF.

Hi Terry - unemployed, got any spare gigs?

My thanks too, to Dave and Kate, and everyone who contributed to a great weekend, and congrats to the Rugby Club who got the amount of beer right, so that "Bob" was still flowing on Saturday night.
Hope there was none left over!
And, yes, Skipy did sing a song, and very well too.
