This is more likely to be of interest to UK Catters, but I have just read of the death of actress Angharad Rees. I will always remember her as Demelza in Poldark. There is an obituary here.

I saw her on a spoken word tour with John Mortimer - wish I'd asked her to take 'em off for a shilling!

A lovely woman. Great actress! She must have been very young.

Oh! Even here in the US we got to see Poldark, and I thought her performance was delightful. I also remember her in an episode of Carry On, Doctor. That may have been just a single appearance because I rarely watched that show.

My only acquaintance with her was as Demelza in Poldark, in which she was very engaging and endearing. Lovely woman and fine actress.

I seem to remember her flashing her wobbly bits in a bath scene in Hands of the Ripper.
