Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: GUEST,OldNicKilby Date: 03 Aug 12 - 10:45 AM Well B and B booked just at the end of the road, so that's a relief, no long drive after the Feast Jacky has decided that she doesn't like the name "Jackers" and would now like to be known as Lady Aneesa B'Astard. Looking forward to my favourite Folkie Event(Well after Second Saturday that is) What about the Crackling? |

I'll be there with the beautiful Fiona, and after a sojurn in the wilds of Yorkshire Jack will be making an appearance. Also it's the apperance of the new toy................ Wassail!! Chris |
Subject: RE: Folklore: Wareham Wail 2012 From: Herga Kitty Date: 28 Aug 12 - 11:25 AM Thanks Chris - I'd been wondering whether I should mention on the existing thread that Jack has been lying low in London for a few days, prior to his reappearance at the Wail.... he's being quite quiet at the moment, but that might just be a bluff....? Kitty |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: Morticia Date: 28 Aug 12 - 12:11 PM oh lord, does he have to come? |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: GUEST,OldNicKilby Date: 29 Aug 12 - 05:21 AM Well at least the weather forecast looks quite reasonable. so we might not freeze at the Feast Sir Leigh B'Astard |

Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: GUEST,Sal Date: 29 Aug 12 - 03:33 PM I've heard that there's going to be a new toilet block this year. So glad those orrible old ones have bitten the dust! |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: Peter K Date: 29 Aug 12 - 04:40 PM Sorry Sal, the old ones where so rank, that they have striped them out and are rebuilding them as I write. But this will be a topic of discussion between some of us this week/end |

Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: GUEST,OldNicKilby Date: 30 Aug 12 - 06:58 AM Nice toilets, whatever next? Now I've got nothing to chunter about, Oh yes there is . What about the sacrilegious treatment of the Crackling? |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: Morticia Date: 30 Aug 12 - 07:04 AM I think the debate should be about how we 'christen' them...ewww, grossed myself out there, sorry. |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: GUEST Date: 30 Aug 12 - 08:50 AM New Toilets!!! Wow!! But I'll still bring me PortaPotty for those nocturnal moments Dave |

Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: Herga Kitty Date: 11 Sep 12 - 10:19 AM Now I'm back in London after Swanage festival, I'd like to say a big thank-you to Alan, Nikki and everyone who gave us another great Wail - singers, cooks, Task Force... Looking foward to next year (the 25th, allegedly) Kitty |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: JennyO Date: 13 Sep 12 - 01:13 PM Ooh, it's gonna be early! That means we might get a 2 week break between the Wail and the next festival. That would be a Good Thing I think. Jenny (still crunching on crackling) |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: Herga Kitty Date: 14 Sep 12 - 04:18 AM Jenny - I meant 25th as in 25th Wail, not a date! I'd expect the dates to be 30 August to 1 September (and thus coinciding with the Bournemouth Air Show again), especially as Swanage festival will be 6-8 September. As you've pointed out on the Swanage thread, it will be Bromyard festival 13-15 September... so no rest until the second half of September! Kitty |
Subject: RE: Wareham Wail 2012 From: GUEST,OldNicKilby Date: 14 Sep 12 - 06:04 AM Did some body mention "CRACKLING" where did that come from .? We thought that it was a wonderful weekend and look forward to next year. We all need to promote this Wail as we need people to be there to make it a resounding success. Alan and his amazing crew put in so much effort to make it happen. Thank You Sir Leigh B'Astard and the Lady Aneeza |
