My apologies to those who are already aware of this, but the event is only a few days away now, and we'd love this to turn into the huge success it deserves to be.
If anyone hasn't already purchased or reserved tickets, but will definitely attend, it would be very helpful for the organisers to have an idea of numbers. If you are in that situation, could you mail kennycairdtestimonial@yahoo.co.uk ,
or leave a message on

Many thanks, Steven Clark

UNDEFEATED – Kenny Caird Testimonial

A unique folk event takes place in Glasgow on Saturday 28th July which features some of the biggest names in Scottish folk and traditional music. Current stars are joined by some of the greats of the last few decades in "UNDEFEATED – The Kenny Caird Testimonial".
Glasgow, or to be more precise Govan folkie Kenny Caird was formerly the organizer, promoter, master of ceremonies, sound man and guiding light of the Star and New Dawn Folk Clubs in Glasgow. The melanoma that took his eye (and led him to create a Youtube persona called "WanEyedFolky") returned aggressively and viciously, taking him from us on the 11th July.

Such is the respect and regard for the man that many major artists, including some coming out of retirement, quickly volunteered to perform in tribute. More like a one-day festival of Scottish folk than a couple of concerts, the fantastic line-up includes Dick Gaughan; Sheena Wellington; Ian Bruce and Ian Walker; Adam McNaughtan; Arthur Johnstone and the Stars Band; Wendy Weatherby; the Paul McKenna Band; Gordeanna McCulloch; Mick West; the Adam McCulloch Trio; Christine Bovill and many more; plus there will be some special surprise guest appearances on the day.

Venue: St Andrews in the Square, Glasgow.
Tickets from Ticket Soup Box Office, or by e-mailing kennycairdtestimonial@yahoo.co.uk
Tickets: £12.50 either concert or an All-day ticket (two concerts – different artists) only £20.
Your support of this great event would be much appreciated.
