Dear Friends, when I was in Vietnam back in the late 60's, I remembered a rock album that had some spoken words between some of the songs. One of the "interludes" was a guy talking about being drunk and walking through a park. He decides to lay down on a park bench and a policeman comes by and says something like "move on". The guy say "Why me?" And the policeman says "Sleepin' here, drunk." And the guy says "How can I be bloody drunk when I'm sleepin?"

I would love to know the album and the group that did that.

Thanks so very much.

Bob

Bob, do you recall any songs from the LP?

I don't. There was a spoken interlude about a chimney sweep that went something like "he said push it a bit harder so I pushed it a bit harder and the whole lot came down the chimney and all he got was his white eyeballs." That and the drunk sleeping in the park. It was a rock album and they were British. I wish I could remember more. Thanks!!!

Bob

I'll mention this LP

The End "Introspection"

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Introspection-The-End/dp/B0007Q6RJ0

One of the first LPs I ever bought...
it was going cheap in the local record shop bargain bin
and I liked the look of the sleeve art.

I've not heard it for a long time but the spoken between track dialogue you quote
sounds vaguely familiar.

People here might frown if I suggest this LP can be easily googled for music nostalgia blogs
hosting the full album mp3 download,
to confirm if it's the one you are looking for.

So I'd best not suggest that.
