Charlie. I heard Jud died in a light plane crash but didn't know when. As you say, songs about recent changes seem to get out of date remarkably quickly. I have worked with computers for about 30 years and every time I listen to Stan Rogers sing "White Collar Holler" I figure its time to write an update. But that could be permanent employment.

Everyone. Thanks for the answers. I hate to admit it but I don't have a Leo Kottke recording. Time to get one I think.

Leo Kottke's original cover version of "Pamela Brown" is on his Ice Water album, available as vinyl reissue from Capitol Records. A great album through and through, it has fine versions of "All Through the Night" and "Born to Be With You" among others. Well worth searching for.

It's an amazing song, since it's about change and so much of the song is already outdated!

I remember hearing that Jud Strunk was killed many years ago (1970s, I think) in the crash of a small plane.

Got it. And found out the original problem. I have access to multiple browsers. I used one but should have used them all until "didn't marry" gave me useful results (as it did eventually.)

Much thanks Les. When I'm searching that far back in the old carbon based memory banks I don't always know what's a cover and what is the artist's original. I'll try the site you mentioned.

Pamela Brown was written by the old master Tom T. Hall and sung by many !! My favorite (besides Tom T.) is the one done by Leo Kottke !! I'll have to transcribe the lyrics from the CD. Try one of the other sites (Cowpie, etc.) if yopu need them right away. Good Hunting !! Les

I am pretty sure that Jud Strunk wrote more than just one song but my extensive peregrinations around the Net don't show this. I found the lyrics to "A Daisy a Day" at sites from L.A. (NO not Lethbridge, Alberta I mean the OTHER L.A.) to Poznan Poland.

BUT I have this vague memory of a television program from the 70's with Jud singing another song. My best guess at the title is "I'm the Guy (fella?) who Didn't Marry Pamela (Angela?) Brown."

I would like to find the lyrics of this song. Indeed any source of information on Jud and his songs would be appreciated, especially on the Net. That way I can find out how I missed them and avoid future harangues like the one that Susan got into over California Dreamin.
