Subject: RE: The Song Of The Brass Key- take 2 From: GUEST,Grishka Date: 10 Aug 12 - 05:17 AM Yes, you have improved a lot! Your articulation is much better now. So is your "acting", although I think you can still improve on it: the words "a kiss is the key to more" can now be understood, but not "believed". In the best passages, your intonation is OK and your voice sounds fresh and clear. In the second section, after the change of keys, you missed the tune completely. (I think you had it correctly in your first recording.) Your next lessons should be about breathing and "vocal registration". You can read about that in books and on the internet, but written words cannot really make you succeed (not even by an "operatic tenor with a voice range of 3 octaves" - smirk). The best idea for you is joining a choir with a good choirmaster. You will profit a lot, not only for your singing. Music and company are sisters. Congratulations for your effort, also with the music software! Working hard for an attractive goal is pure fun and the best way to learn. Keep striving, for whatever goal! |

Subject: RE: The Song Of The Brass Key- take 2 From: johncharles Date: 10 Aug 12 - 09:41 AM Morwen, your voice may be OK but you really need to learn to sing some simple songs in tune, rather than jumping into operetta and acting all at the same time. Join a choir, get some singing lessons. it takes years not weeks to achieve the type of thing you seem to be aiming for. john |
