I cannot be sure without going wasting time googling which of the above models this is but all are rare, some were cedar top and some spruce, the bottom bout is WAY bigger than parlour, so they have a parlour-like treble from the top bout and quite a big thud from the bottom bout, focussed by the curved back.

And here is a slightly plainer one in the USA - so I think that UK one has to be the top of the line L999 -

I think you'll find that the UK one is the bottom of the range, L9 like the one I have. I play if all the time and it's a great little instrument. I'd love a 99 or 999 though

I'd go for the USA one out of choice.

The L9 went for just 29 quid less than the L99. I think the L9 cost half as much as the L99 when new.
