Subject: Tune Req: Muzsikas From: Piff Date: 18 Aug 12 - 04:39 AM Many years ago on the BBC Radio 2 folk programme (before Mike Harding became its presenter) I heard the Hungarian group Muzsikas perform a piece that represented a train starting off, making a fast journy and coming to rest again. It was magnificent - the best muscial depiction of a train I ever heard. It was simply announced as "The Train" and its Hungarian tile was never mentioned. If anyone knows the piece I mean, do you know if it was recorded on any of the Muzsikas albums? |

I've spent the last couple hours watching videos of Hungarian dancing and music, which was very entertaining. I love the raw and slightly out of control lilt that the music has. Also love the brash sound of all those girls voices singing together, and the way that they, not the men, do the fancy steps, with that off-handed, "Of course we're good, we're Hungarian" smirk.Elmehetsz a házunk előtt . |
