Subject: Who's going to Bromyard? From: JP2 Date: 02 Sep 12 - 09:53 AM I've just looked at the Metcheck forecast and it looks like 20/23 C in the afternoons for Bromyard next week so I'm off and I'm not taking my wellies! I suppose the nights will be a bit parky but that's what Beer tents and hot water bottles are for. JP2. |

Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: JP2 Date: 02 Sep 12 - 01:49 PM Ah Silas,is that the triumph of hope over expectancy,I think we should be told? It's a good lineup this year for which many thanks are due to Dick Dixon. JP2. |

Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: GUEST,Seayaker Date: 02 Sep 12 - 07:21 PM According to the FaceBook page improvements have been made to avoid the 2008 mud. And the weather forcast is good. I'll be there Thursday. |
Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: G-Force Date: 03 Sep 12 - 07:17 AM Having gone for several years in the past, we will now continue to give Bromyard a miss. We found a total lack of interest in the welfare of the festival goers, just taking our money is what seemed to matter. |
Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: GUEST,Seayaker Date: 03 Sep 12 - 06:27 PM Welfare of festival goers? What's the specific complaint? I've always found it a good experience. |
Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: Spongebrother Date: 03 Sep 12 - 07:01 PM JP2 says: I suppose the nights will be a bit parky but that's what Beer tents and hot water bottles are for. Will be putting on what my daughter calls a "beer blanket" for the weekend. And Bromyard has to have the best combination of beer tent and local pubs that is going. Not too sure of the guest list, and I'm sure to get annoyed at the late night sings in the Art Centre being drowned by the overloud bands playing in the ceilidgh house tent. But a weekend never to be missed |
Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: John J Date: 04 Sep 12 - 01:01 PM We're due to arrive mid-morning on Friday. JJ |
Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: Sam Hudson Date: 04 Sep 12 - 05:48 PM N and I will be there, and Spongebrother is entirely right about the beer. |
Subject: RE: Who's going to Bromyard? From: JennyO Date: 10 Sep 12 - 12:11 PM Well we had a lovely time at Bromyard, as usual. The weather was beautiful - not a patch of mud to be seen anywhere! Highlights - singing in the Bay Horse Friday night, music sessions with Flos in the Falcon, the shanty singing/competition in the Football Club on Saturday afternoon and early evening, James and Nancy, the Copper Family, the excellent food outlets (especially the Welsh food, the Caribbean food and the pizza) and of course the weather, Every year we say we ought to give Swanage a go - it's closer to home and more of our friends go - and one year soon we probably will, but we had no complaints this weekend at all! |
