We played along side of him at Ohio and Mdrf. He was an uncommon man of great musical talent.

well sad to hear. i never met him but a friend gave me a tape (remember tapes) of his with full lyrics when i was doing sca and renn faire out west. it was gtreast and i learned a couple of songs. he was a talent rare in that world and he's in fiddlers green now

He was an institution across the whole RenFaire community, in numerous states, and probably the only one of us who could consistantly draw an audience by singing actual Renaissance music, even if it wasn't in English.

Just learned that Owain Phyfe lost his battle with cancer. He was an institution at the Michigan Renaissance Festival and throughout the local music community. He will be greatly missed.
