Quite a scarce song in aural tradition but some confuse it with 'Wild and Wicked Youth' which it isn't. Even some scholars have done this. It descends from a 17thc ballad about Claud Duval, yes, the same fellow who featured in our old comic books. There's a printed version from the early 19th century on the Bodleian website at Harding B11 (1226) but there are probably others there also with that title, which might furnish your missing words.

Jim Causley version of the Flash Lad, cant quite make out one or two of the words from the recording , anyone got the lyrics?
