Subject: Busking with Amps in Europe From: GUEST,E_String Bassist Date: 13 Sep 12 - 07:44 PM My band is going on tour and trying to close our budget through busking, but I play electric bass and will need to use an amp. Wanted to know if anyone has info on whether this is legal/acceptable in most places without a permit/license. We'll be in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Czech Republic. We're a part of the MUNY program here in NYC where we have permits and time slots in the subway, but thats the only way I can use an amp without getting shut down by the cops. Bringing my rig out on tour or finding one there is looking expensive and I don't want to go through the expense/hassle if we're just going to be harassed by police the whole time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me directly at karikaturanyc@gmail.com. Thanks, Eric |
