Subject: Mudcat radio from your place? From: JedMarum Date: 25 Oct 99 - 03:04 PM Did I misunderstand or did Rick and Bert on last Wed's show talk about taping their show at nearby Mudcatter locations, and broradcasting later? |

Subject: RE: Mudcat radio from your place? From: Max Date: 25 Oct 99 - 03:10 PM Yes, we probably mentioned that. It is very possible, time being the only hold-back. I will be road tripping next summer and will be doing a roving reporter kind of thing. That at the latest. |

Subject: RE: Mudcat radio from your place? From: JedMarum Date: 25 Oct 99 - 04:25 PM Well ya might wanna consider two stops in Dallas. I am certain the Mudcatters would enjoy the session at the Sons of Hermann Hall on Thrusday evenings. This has been an amazingly successful session that has built a great following over the years (they say "the only electric is the campfire.") They typically get 50+ folky enthusiasts on Thursday, and run two or three rooms. They have done KERA radio on a couple of occasions (one of our fine, local PBS stations), and they are a fun-loving group. They'd work a special one hour session for the radio show.
Also, I will be hosting a weekly Wed Acoustic night at the Classic City Rock Cafe (a rock club of all places) where we could book a show just for Mudcat Radio. This club will have a good regular audience and a great sound system. We'd have to sort out expenses, but it could be done. |
