So, do you speak English, or just URLs? In a discussion forum, it's customary to discuss things. Do you have anything to say about the project, or did you just come here to waste our time?

I'm sick of seeing people start threads with just an URL, and it seems to be happening here more and more often. If you don't have something to discuss, don't start the fricking thread in the first place.

Every piece of information does not have to have an opinion or a value judgement assigned to it.There is nothing wrong with information for information's sake w/o editorialization.

You make a valid point, Azoic. The link is useful. Still, a little information or a summary of the information from the link would have been helpful.

I suppose what really bugs me are mostly the non-music threads that contain no information other than telling people to "click here." How does the reader know that the link doesn't lead to something destructive? Your thread title told us what was inside the link, so that wasn't a problem.

Nonetheless, link-only messages used to start a thread, generally piss me off.

End of rant.

On the other hand, I'd agree that Karan Casey is a good musician and worthy of support.

One of the things that usually throws my off switch is when a singer I enjoy and respect starts promoting a project as all original songs. And often, it seems to me, the originals are not up to the standard I usually expect from the artist. Although, in this case, what I have heard of the music does sound promising.

I too, believe that Karan is quite talented.I saw her here at Pacific University in Oregon last Fall w/John Doyle.Superb!

Joe has a good point. When I see link with no explanation, I wonder if it will send me to a porn site or to site that will try to mine data from me. I would never click on it.

When we consider the billions of dollars that developed countries spend on schools, it doesn't seem too much to ask for a few sentences.
