Subject: RE: CD submissions received From: musicmick Date: 22 Sep 12 - 10:24 AM I will be sending a rough draft to any artist I review. TUNE UP is available to the thousands of PFS members on line or in hard copy. If you receive a rough draft, don't throw up your hands. I can, neither, spell nor punctuate but the editor is a whiz at both. Around Christmas, I like to do an issue on kids' songs. (a word to the wise). If you want to reach me, directly, try musicmick@verizon.net |

Subject: CD submissions received From: musicmick Date: 22 Sep 12 - 12:57 AM I just got a call from the PFS office to get the hell over there because my mailbox was full. It was CDs from Mudcatters to be listebed to and, hopefully, reviewed and reccomended. I started to play them on the way home and I hope I find some super submissions. I love touting fine independant recordings. My first column of the season will be out in October and, although I have some summer entrants, I will not hesitate to move an ear opener up to the front of the line. I do thank all who sent CDs. The one's that don't make it into the column will be relayed to bookers, including the programming commitee of the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Good luck to all the wonderful artists. Mike Miller |
