I'm really looking forward to singing at Bracknell Folk Club next Tuesday 2nd October. It's a very friendly, welcoming club with some very talented attendees!

My last gig there was in November 2010 and I've had a good look through my 'song-bag' and worked out a couple of good sets which don't repeat any of the songs I sang that night. However, I'm always happy to sing requests, and I'm pretty sure there'll be at least one on Tuesday.

If you're able to come along, please do, I'll do my best to entertain you!

Hils

Be good to see you there Terry, all friendly faces very welcome!

I'll be practising madly (or is that madly practising?) all weekend at Whittlebury but will try to keep some voice back for Tuesday!

Thanks for kind wishes Tami!

Well, Bracknell Folk Club made me very welcome and we had a lovely cosy evening. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, warts & all.

Just in case anyone is interested, here's what I sang:

Old Jacky Frost - Barrie Temple
The Weaver's Four Daughters - Spurlock
The Weaver and the Factory Maid - Trad, arranged Steeley Span
The Dutchman - Michael Smith
Mary Mack - Trad, arranged Hilary Ward
Regret - Lynne Heraud
The Ranter - Trad, heard from Chris Foster
Those were the Days - Gene Raskin
Down Boys, Down - Barrie Temple
Swallows - Vicki Williams
Swallows Wing - Tony Truscott
You are There - Brian Bedford
The Wine Song - Grant Baynham
Gordon's Song - Bryony McGinty
The Dead Knight Behind the Hedge - Jon Heslop
Where Raven's Feed - Graeme Miles
Go with a Smile - Brian Bedford
Keep You in Peace - Sarah Morgan

And then I had to stop so they could go home *grin* A lovely evening!
