It's a 2001 model I think. I cleaned the fingerboard, cleaned the oxidation off the frets, new strings(12's) and I'm happy as can be.

I live in a humid area. So I don't worry too much. But I'll get a humidifier. Swap it around in all my acoustics in the winter. I don't want top cracks.

Small piece of advice, Henry: pay attention to humidity levels the guitar is in.

This is important to read.

As Pete said, darned good price considering it has a Fishman installed and the hard shell case to go with it. Look into a humidifier for it. Or make one of your own using a small plastic box with many holes in it and artificial sponge for inside the plastic box.

I thought so. Nice leather Larrivee strap. Nice Larrivee hardshell case. Just needs new strings and clean the fingerboard. I'm happy.

I bought it. $375 and with a hardshell case, strap and Fishman pickup installed under the saddle. Time will tell if it's right for me. I like Larrivees.They don't smack of cheapness like so many other brands.

Congratulations, Henry. Best wishes with it. The L-03 suggests one use light strings. I tune it down a tone and use mediums. Sounds ok.

I mostly use an L-03. Good tone, but I don't expect it to 'open up' for a few years. It's a medium size guitar so doesn't have the sound of my Martin D-28. That's a difference between a guitar built in 1962 and the Larrivee built in 2007. I like the non-gloss finish of the Larrivee.

I'm buying one this morning. I like Larrivees. I gave away a P-03 as a gift. But I've never had one before. I think they're better guitars than Taylors.

- meant to add, that it's unadorned, but not that "basic", it has an ebony fingerboard for example, and is not cheap.It's my main guitar, and I did a solo acoustic guitar album some years ago, mainly using this instrument.

Good guitar? Low end model. Probably having a tough time selling the nicer ones.
