Subject: RE: Cluster of Nuts Band From: GUEST,Chris Nelson Date: 09 Oct 12 - 05:41 AM Well remembered George. We actually started in October 1977, so this is our 35th anniversary gig! And yes, Barry Fogden was in the original lineup. This year, the band is Chris Nelson (fiddle), Alison Heywood (nee Cowley) (accordion, saxophone), Siobhan Nelson (vocals), David Good (guitar), Brian Heywood (bass) and Mike Vishnik (drums). And, of course, we look forward to working again with Dave Townsend (as caller) for the first time in many years. |
Subject: RE: Cluster of Nuts Band From: GUEST,George Frampton Date: 09 Oct 12 - 04:51 AM Cluster of Nuts began as the University of Surrey ceilidh club house band ca 1979. From the top of my head: Graham Harrison (drums), Alison Cowley (accordion), Chris Nelson (fiddle), Jennie Jones (flute), Mike Jones (caller), posibly Barry Fogden (but I might be confusing him with members of the university morris team). |
