Sheesh. I thought we'd seen enough of that.

Here's hoping this thread is as short as possible. Get out of there, pal.

Pat, a beautiful and powerful harmonious chant written by one of the women in a wonderful local group you never heard of (Pomegranate Rose - disbanded a long time ago) is running through my head tonight as I think of you as well as of your family.

If you have ever been to an Episcopal service, hear something like the quiet harmony that conveys that sense of holiness within each of us when the congregation chants the psalm.

We have all that we need. Full blessed children of space.
Light shines full on our faces, bringing love, illumination, peace.

... and is kind of out of it...

So what is new?

And he's going for a colonoscopy, He's gonna love that.

I remember when I had one. The nurse took my blood pressure before and after. I asked if there was any diffence, she said "it has gone up a little but that is normal" I replied "I'm not surprised".

Get well soon y'ol bugger we are all pulling for ya. (And NO! that is NOT what we are pulling)

Yikes! This is unwelcome news... His part of the state needs Spaw out there and voting and commenting on the weird position of Ohio in this election year. I'm praying for his health and energy to be restored so he can add his voice to the sensible & snarky political commentary. He's such a BIG personality & there aren't too many Mudcatters in Ohio - he's necessary, dagnabbit.

Get well ya Buckeyecritter, please.

Please know we're all thinking of you now, and hoping for your speedy recovery, and for strength, and for freedom from fear--for you, Karen & your sons. Know you're surrounded by much love. Kathy

thanks, folks. I haven't been posting much I don't have much news and my right hand is still out of commission.

Anyway I have received two or three text messages from Karen. She sends her love and thanks to all of you and promises to update me as soon as she knows something. Right now, they are still having trouble figuring out why his platelets are so low. He may have another transfusion tomorrow. The haematologist thought it might be the heparin. They did a CAT scan and there may be an infection but he is NOT running a fever and his white blood cell count is improving.

thanks again to you all,

luvyakat

"I think he is a little better today. They laid off the lasix because it was doing a number on his kidneys so his blood pressure has come up and they are watching the blood work and it seems to be stabilizing no longer going down. Making dinner for Tris and I, then sleep and off to work. luv to all"
