Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: catspaw49 Date: 16 Oct 12 - 09:13 AM Nothing else to say but once again thanks to all. I'm home and that's about all I know at this point. Too many issues to be sure what happened or will happen. No apparent bleeding but low platelets and after 4 pints things look better. Scopes are too risky at this point and I really don't show any signs of intestinal bleeds. Did liver and spleen scans and other tests yet still no sure reason. Could be valve related or perhaps we'll do a bone marrow check. Other options out there but too early to say what. We'll see what pans out on the hemoglobin level and go from there. While that isn't definitive it is at least something and we know some things that aren't the problem. Hold good thoughts and wwe'll see what happens. I'd write more but I'm still a bit tired out.....LOL.......Thanks again for all the wishes, prayers, and good thoughts. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: Nigel Paterson Date: 14 Oct 12 - 07:06 AM So pleased to read all the good & positive news about Spaw. I've been down in darkest Devon these past few days with some of my 60s Music buddies, completely out of touch with the big, wild world. Disappointing that his Docs. haven't fully identified the 'problem', but wonderful nonetheless that he could be home soon. The human body does stuff like this from time to time...propels us into a crisis; the Doctors are left scratching their heads; we recover & it never happens again. I sincerely hope that this is the case for Spaw. Very good news to come home to, With Love, Nigel & Ann (Still in NC!) xxxxxxxxx |

Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 13 Oct 12 - 11:48 AM Didn't Spaw have Vizslas, or some other specific breed? Someone find his breed on YouTube and post it. That'll be a great greeting! Big pup and big kitten, for example. SRS |

Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: Ebbie Date: 12 Oct 12 - 10:05 PM I know what you mean about Great Danes. The last few months I've been 'pee-breaking' one and she is one monster. Sweet but huge. When she puts her front paws on my shoulders I have to brace myself. My little Chinese Crested dog won't even attempt to play with her, much as she begs him to. |
Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: Little Hawk Date: 12 Oct 12 - 05:49 PM Yeah. That's why I've always much preferred relatively small dogs. Not tiny dogs. Just fairly small dogs. They had on online test to determine which kind of dog would suit one best. I took the test and guess what came up? Dachshund! ;-) I'm also fond of Jack Russels, providing they're not the hysterical kind. |
Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: Bill D Date: 12 Oct 12 - 05:40 PM Homecoming to dachshunds is cute... a few months away from a couple Great Danes could be deadly! |
Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: katlaughing Date: 12 Oct 12 - 05:29 PM gnudarlin'...don't forget, Spaw flies in the face of medical convention. He really does *sound* good. I know what ya mean, though.:-) |
Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-Oct-12 From: gnu Date: 12 Oct 12 - 05:05 PM Well, I say, keep Spaw in the hop to find out what is wrong so that Pat gets CURED and not just sent home. WTF? Youse got Canuck health care now? Sure... our's is free but they send ya home when they can't figure shit out. If ya calve out at home it ain't their problem. Good for the government's bottom line but kinda sucks fer our bottoms. Stay in hop, Pat, until they fix ya up good like. We need ya. |

Subject: RE: Catspaw/Spaw in hospital - Good news - 10-10-12 From: gnu Date: 11 Oct 12 - 04:51 PM kat... sincerest apologies. I was gonna put a "not for the sqeamish" warning but the phone rang and I had a construction job emerg and I just hit submit. I made an error. My bad. I just don't think like I used to. The clip of the young fellahs hittin golf balls and the old fellahs shootin em with shotguns like skeet woulda been better but I couldn't find it. Sorry kat... and everyone else. |

Those kind of shows turn my stomach and offend my sensitivities. I don't see how anyone could find that humorous, but then Spaw was always the "evil twin" and I've had to clean up the litter for years from his shenanigans!**bg** luvya'llanywaykat |
