Subject: RE: Sat Oct 20 Trio Threlfall Faldingworth From: Arthur_itus Date: 12 Oct 12 - 11:38 AM Thank you Callingbird. Did you hear that everybody. Get your seats reserved for a super night. Tickets are £8 when you reserve them for payment on the door (Which means you know you will get in) Tickets are still £8 when you just roll up to the door without reserving (but you do run the risk of being turned away if full) As we don't like using agents, becuase they bump the price up, the above 2 ways are the only way of coming to this concert. Hope to see plenty of you there. |

Subject: Sat Oct 20 Trio Threlfall Faldingworth From: Arthur_itus Date: 07 Oct 12 - 06:46 PM Saturday 20th October 2012 Trio Threlfall in Concert Jane Threlfall, Vocals, Guitar, Mandola, Mandolin Amanda Threlfall, Vocals, Violin, Viola Roger Edwards, Vocals, Anglo Concertina, Guitar Jane & Amanda Threlfall, working with musician Roger Edwards, are universally acknowledged as natural ambassadors for English traditional song. Their approach is endearingly self-effacing and commentators highlight the sisters' consummate ability to reinterpret songs from the English lexicon with freshness and vitality. As testament to the effectiveness of their interaction with audiences they have been described thus: 'While many of their firmly traditional English songs tell sad and melancholy stories, they are such warm and engaging performers that the overall sensation is simply uplifting'. Their easy and relaxed style belies the enormous respect they share for the traditional material which makes up their repertoire and it's only through the level and quality of their performance that it suddenly becomes wonderfully apparent.
