I made the decision to send ALL three sets of the SAVAREZ strings back to "Just Strings." I've broken two high "E" strings. The company is NOT happy with me ... they want me to accept replacement strings ...

I said NO ... I want all my money returned, as well as my shipping costs.

The reason I made this decision is because I CAN NO LONGER TRUST THE STRINGS. I just finished a TV recording, and some CD recording ... breaking a string on live TV is a real nuisance. bob(deckman)nelson

as Zen said, it could be a bad batch, too. Years ago, I had a run of bad Martin lights, breaking the knobs off, and those were bought from music shops.
We had a TV programme about Chinese knock-offs recently. Sthil chainsaws. Not obvious even to experts.

The legitimate manufacturer could tell you. Inquire at their website.D'Addario mentions counterfeit strings on their packages.

Hi Bob,

I've been using Savarez Corum Alliance strings for years without any problems. It could be that you have a bad batch. It might be worth checking also to see if you have a sharp angle or edge at the saddle or nut where the E strings rests.

Richard

I recently purchased three sets of "SAVAREZ" guitar strings from an internet company named "JustStrings.com."

I've used Savarez strings for many years. I know them, I know how to use them, and until now I knew what to expect.

Imagine my surprise when the first string, the high "E" broke in the first hour. I put on another "E" ... it broke in 6 days.

Has anyone else out there had problems with "Savarez Corum".

Thanks ... bob(deckman)nelson
