Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Girl Friday Date: 25 Feb 13 - 12:30 PM Hi Richard I seem to have aquired a few white plastic picnic plates. Are they yours ? If not, they may be mine, as I have some like that. However, I don't remember bringing them to Lower Coke last week. I have March 8th down for Rogering Choristers. If this is still on, I can give you back the plates then. Sue |

Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 17 Feb 13 - 06:19 AM Alas too, the band has left - so the only part of RC4 will be me. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: My guru always said Date: 17 Feb 13 - 04:35 AM Alas we won't make it today, spring-cleaning *sigh* Too much to do before Easter! Have a Fab time today You Lot! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 16 Feb 13 - 06:18 AM I've picked up a chest infection and can barely breathe, let alone sing. I'm afraid it's going to be a weekend at home with the emergency antibiotics (good name for a band?...maybe not!) Richard, while you have RC4 there, how about sounding them out for a visit to the Vigo Easter Folk & Ale I'm hoping that you might get the van out and join us yourself. Don T. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 16 Feb 13 - 05:39 AM Refresh. And it looks as if RC4 will be there en bloc! |

Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: melodeonboy Date: 14 Feb 13 - 10:41 AM I'm not 100% sure I'll be there, but I reckon Mr. Leopard should make bread anyway! :-) |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 14 Feb 13 - 07:32 AM Beer will be Cornish Trawler at 3.6 % http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/skinners-cornish-trawler/168317/ |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Girl Friday Date: 12 Feb 13 - 10:52 AM New batch of chutney made today. I whacked in loads of spice, and added a green pepper to the red onions. I upped the sugar content too. First tastew seems sweeet on the tongue, but kicks one in the back of the mouth. Should go nicely with the squidge! Shall I ask Mr Leopard to make some bread. I can reccomend his herb bread. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 11 Feb 13 - 04:34 AM Reminder - Feb 17th |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Girl Friday Date: 28 Jan 13 - 01:24 PM It certainly was a good afternoon followed by excellent hospitality chez Bridge. Shame mpore of you can't stay longer. Still we did justice to the squidge, and Richard should not be having it all week this time. Do you think that we could get the girls along next time ? Folk Clubs need young blood. Sorry we arrived at Bridge Towers a little late, we were enjoying our session so much that we went round and then had one for the road. (Song, that is... Kemp Owen... Scottish, traditional, and quite long.) |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 28 Jan 13 - 06:17 AM Well up to par. Good music, good friends and good ale. What more could we want? Those little girls were really enjoying the music too. Lovely to see that. Don T. |

Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 23 Jan 13 - 08:45 AM That will save about half a barrel for the rest of us! Has Dean managed to extract his foot yet? Your noble attempt to divert attention to beer contained a bit of a faux pas too, by starting with "Eeny meeny miney mo" - I could see Angelle ITCHING to deliver the next line. Alas she is unable to be with us this Sunday either - but she is working on getting an elderly relative of hers (also Scottish - a very spry 84) along to the next one: apparently he used to sing in a barbershop quartet and IIRC he also plays moothie. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: GUEST,Wee Jock Date: 23 Jan 13 - 06:31 AM Sorry we can't be there but Border Crossing have a gig at The Pilot in Maidstone that Sunday, starting at 2.30 pm. Hope it goes well Richard Cheers WeeJock |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 23 Jan 13 - 04:09 AM Beer this Sunday the 27th will be Seafarer at 3.6. Last time we had that the barrel was dry by about half past 4! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 22 Jan 13 - 06:46 PM What a change since the new management. Prior to that, you couldn't sell real ale with green stamps, except on winter sings. Now it doesn't hang around for long enough. Don T. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: melodeonboy Date: 22 Jan 13 - 04:32 PM Don't panic, don't panic! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 22 Jan 13 - 03:39 PM Oh woe, woe and thrice woe! Mick got in a barrel of the seasonal "Jack Frost" and the bloody locals have drunk it all. I will be over there tomorrow sorting through what is available and what we want. |

Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: melodeonboy Date: 31 Dec 12 - 01:16 PM Yeh, another lovely afternoon. Thanks for organising it, Richard. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: My guru always said Date: 30 Dec 12 - 03:49 PM We went and we had fun! Lovely afternoon in a great pub in good company. Sorry we couldn't join you for your squidge Richard, hope you get your voice back soon! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: My guru always said Date: 30 Dec 12 - 07:07 AM Not sure if we'll get along, but checked right through this thread to see what time you all start. Couldn't find it during a quick 'scan', but think it's afternoon. Will see... Know you'll have a Fab time anyway!! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: melodeonboy Date: 29 Dec 12 - 12:26 PM I still hope to come, but Melodeonboy is succumbing to seasonal ailments and his reeds are getting clogged! We'll see what tomorrow brings! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Girl Friday Date: 29 Dec 12 - 12:22 PM There is absolutely no such thing as too many roast spuds !! The bread is proving. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 29 Dec 12 - 10:20 AM Only doing two squidges. I ate squidge all week last time. But am doing 3 trays of spuds, there is no such thing as too many roast spuds. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Richard Bridge Date: 28 Dec 12 - 05:56 PM It will not be Reverend James. It will be St Austell Trelawny at 3.8. |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: melodeonboy Date: 27 Dec 12 - 02:42 PM I'll be there until four. The Reverend James may be a bit on the strong side! |
Subject: RE: Lower Stoke Winter sings ME3 9RD UK From: Girl Friday Date: 27 Dec 12 - 10:33 AM Unless we get struck by the dreaded lurgi again. T D L will be there. Mr Leopard's voice is much better than it was last Saturday. This Saturday he plans to bake some oink bread with some of my Christmas gammon. It is infused with cloves. To accompany the bread, there will be cheeses, pickles (including gherkins with red chillis ), and plates and all that parafanalia. Probably bring the butter too. |
