Swarb is a good harmony singer - the opening duo song is wonderful.

Why did these fim makers from the '60s think that blurred shots of someone's face in a club or the top of John Renbourn's hair were more important than what their fingers were doing...

Still, well worth seeing.

And a big sigh, the days when women wore skirts.

The interviewer did seem intent on establishing a link between folk music and drug taking. As if we would have done that in the 60's ;)

Good to see some of Swarbs fine mandolin playing again.

That could well be Marc Sullivan - seems to fit in with the time scale

The last words just before the instrumental are, roughly, '.. the quality found in the small clubs is very high. For instance, there are many who play almost as well as Mark Sullivan'. Does that name ring any bells?

Best wishes,

Bente

Here's a lovely film that's cropped up on YouTube. Great film of Carthy, Swarb, Renbourn, Jansch - all from London, 1967.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjEsRWGxVLM&feature=youtu.be

One question that's been posed. Can anyone identify the player and singer from about 3:40 onwards? He plays an instrumental, and then a version of "Hard Travelling". Any thoughts?
