Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Richard Bridge Date: 21 Oct 12 - 08:58 AM I might come to see you in Chaversham, Dick. I have long been curious what you do live. |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: GUEST,OldNicKilby Date: 22 Oct 12 - 06:20 AM You are bloody right Richard, "Chaversham" it is. There was a Traveller Wake going on the night that we went. However the F C is really good. Grumpy Old Dick sings the same old rubbish as his C D's and very good they are. You can be sure of a lovely night as he is a fine 'Tina player and an equally good singer. |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Kampervan Date: 22 Oct 12 - 06:32 AM Ere, lay off Faversham or I'll come and camp in your garden. We moved here in 1984 and it's a great little place. It has its faults, but where hasn't? (And it does encourage one to maintain a sense of humour) |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Richard Bridge Date: 22 Oct 12 - 07:59 AM Hey, K, you'd be right at home in Lower Coke with a vardo. I was great mates with Mad Mick, the bare knuckle champion of the peninsular, before he moved away. He was traveller but his wife Lynn was Romany although both were stoppers. But my back garden is walled right round. No way to get your van in. |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Kampervan Date: 22 Oct 12 - 11:06 AM Hi Richard Thanks for the offer, but my horse refuses to go that far onto the peninsula. He just stops dead at the Four Elms roundabout. I think that he senses what he's heading into! My car engine always seems to die around there too. Guess we'll have to stick around sunny Faversham a bit longer. K/van |

Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Richard Bridge Date: 22 Oct 12 - 05:46 PM I will decide whether politely to request one if and when I turn up. Twin Peaks 2 is in the doctors. |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: GUEST Date: 23 Oct 12 - 09:25 AM OK, Geoff is MC, I'll ask him to reserve u a spot if it gets busy. Hopefully I'm correct in my thinking of what TP2 is when I say it seemed OK and that I suppose a good Rogering usually gets a result. Al |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Richard Bridge Date: 23 Oct 12 - 10:25 AM I have just realised a friend is likely to be here which might prevent me attending. |
Subject: RE: DickMiles Faversham Folk Club From: Leadfingers Date: 25 Oct 12 - 06:54 PM If Dick was half as good at Faversham as he was at Maidenhead you missed a Good Evening Richard ! |
