Greetings from New York City!

So far this is my schedule of guest performances when my wife Marilyn and I visit the UK this coming fall.

• Friday, October 25, 2013. 8:30 PM. Orpington Friday Folk at the Liberal Club. 7 Station Road. Orpington.

• Sunday, October 27, 2013. 2:30 PM. FAB [Folk-Acoustic-Blues] Club at the White Hart Pub. Argent Street. Grays, Essex.

• Tuesday, October 29, 2013. 8:00 PM. Star Folk Club at the Admiral Pub. 72A Waterloo Street. Glasgow. I have the honor of doing a 30-minute set to open for noted folksinger Peter Coe.

• Sunday, November 3, 2013. 8:00 PM. Croydon Folk and Blues Club at Ruskin House. 23 Coombe Road, Croydon. I will be doing a guest "hotspot" beginning at about 9:30 PM. The rest of the evening will be an open singers' night.

In addition I intend to do some floor spots, appear at open mics and singers' nights, and otherwise make the rounds of folk establishments. Marilyn and I will also be visiting with our relatives and friends. Our holiday, however, lasts only fifteen days, so we will not have the opportunity to go everywhere, see everything, and meet everyone that we wish we could. So much to do, so little time! :-)

For additional information please visit my website: www.stevesuffet.com

Thanks.

Refreshing this thread. I would actually like to do at least one performance in London proper, in addition to the two I will be doing in the suburbs.

Greetings from a chilly New York City!

My wife Marilyn and I will be returning to the United Kingdom in the autumn of 2013 to visit with friends and relatives, and we also plan to stop by as many folk clubs as possible. In addition to spending some time in the London area, as we always do, we hope to make our way north to Scotland. We haven't been there since 1999 when we spent a few days in Edinburgh. This time we would like to visit Glasgow as well.

Unfortunately we will be traveling without my part-time singing partner Anne Price. Anne and I still frequently perform together, but she and her husband are unable to make the trip next year. Marilyn might be my roadie, but she doesn't perform, so the act will just be me and my guitar, possibly singing a few of the songs that I have performed at Occupy Wall Street during the past year.

I have already been booked as the guest artist at Orpington Friday Folk on October 25th and at the FAB Club in Grays, Essex, on October 27th. I am currently waiting to hear from several other clubs in and around London, as well as from one in Glasgow, and I would welcome suggestions from fellow Mudcatters.

I am best described as an Old Fashioned Folksinger, and my repertoire is an eclectic mix of American folk music, including old-time, ragtime, blues, ballads, cowboy songs, hobo songs, union songs, trucker songs, topical-political songs, Gospel songs, and more. Some of my songs are traditional, some by singers such as Woody Guthrie and Utah Phillips, and some are ones that I wrote myself in traditional styles. You can find out more about me and my music by going to www.stevesuffet.com and then following the links. in addition, if you provide me with a postal mailing address, I can send you a small press kit that contains a CD of live performances. Meanwhile, here are several YouTube videos that I hope you enjoy:

Jacob's Ladder Folk Festival
Kew Gardens Music Festival
Bowery Poetry Club
New England Folk Festival
Zuccotti Park / Occupy Wall Street
Borderline Folk Music Club

As I have done when visiting the UK in the past, I will not take any payment for myself. Instead, I will accept whatever fee I would have been paid as a donation to one of my home clubs. If you wish, I can donate half the fee back to the club that books me, thus benefitting both organizations. I am also willing to do a house concert where the gate receipts go to an agreed upon not-for-profit organization.

If you can suggest clubs to visit or if you can offer me a booking, please contact me by e-mail at steve at stevesuffet dot com or by Mudcat PM. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Kindest regards,
Steve Suffet
