Subject: RE: Butch Ross Stockport Monday 29th Oct From: maybelle_fan Date: 28 Oct 12 - 10:24 AM I have had the pleasure of seeing Butch Ross in concert several times here in central Ohio, USA, and the man is incredibly talented. Do not miss his show if you have a chance to see him. Request the song "Vincent Black Lightning" and prepare to be stunned by his dulcimer rock and roll, then be even more amazed by "Shady Grove" updated. I've even had jamming time with him and he's the most laid back, funny fellow to hang out with. If there's ever a dulcimer Hall of Fame, he should be first in. |

Subject: Butch Ross Stockport Monday 29th Oct From: GUEST,Peter Midway Folk Club Date: 27 Oct 12 - 06:09 AM Butch Ross may well be the most impressive Appalachian Dulcimer player you'll ever see. After watching him you'll be rushing out to buy a dulcimer or pulling the one you've had for years off the wall and trying it again! He also sings some great songs and has written some amusing takes on the American folk music scene, they sound very familiar to anyone in the UK! Look at the clip here of him playing Appalachian Dulcimer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFORgzLyL4U&feature=related He's only in the UK for a few days. If you fancy seeing him you'd better take this opportunity! This Monday! 29th October Venue details here Midway Folk Club Peter |
