on the North west coast , the wind goes up to 70 mtr pr sec ....
61 mtr pr sec not far from my home ....

so ...I guess we are having a blast ...or what would you call this ???
a Hurricane ??

the wind is mainly from the North , but goes to NNW ..

all people in Iceland are well , no one is hurt or dead ..
all houses are okei ..but all this day is to come ..

No flights ..inland ..and most of the fishing fleet is in the fjörds ..

no schools , the road to the hospital is closed in both directions ...
so the Eastfjörds are mainly closed almost ....

Skarpi, there's no traffic on the roads so it's a perfect time for a drive!

Well, no, maybe you'd better do what I'd do: stay home, play some music, keep warm, and tell tales of the aptrgangr and draugr to pass the long nights and the storm. A few glasses of drink will help with the stories.

right ....37 people are hurt after today ...and are in hospital...no one is dead ..lot of damage boats , cars , roof has been going of houses ..
this will be over noon tomorrow ...
they say ...

so this weather is among the worst , in many years ..

so who is not in Global warming ?

the sea level is high and the sea goes up on land ..

so hope all goes well next 24 ours , i´ll go to work after 2 hours ...

I have seen some nasty Nor'easters, living, as I do, next door to ye Maineeacs, but we have another name for 252kph wind.... %^%@#$&!!!!

Yes, Skarpi. A Categorey 5 Hurricane is up to 252kph. There is no Cat 6... over 252kph, it's a big torrnado.

BTW, SINS, at 252kph, ya might not wanna stoke the fire with a lot of wood at one time, even with the damper near closed.

Just thinking about wind like that sends a chill up my... ah... spine.

well now the wind is going down again ...and for the next 4 to 5 days the weather is going to be calm ...after tonight ...
