Prices for festival and ceilidhs are on the downloadable booking form on the web site. Not the best piece of design but considering what john has done for folk music in this part of the world over the past 40 years I think we can forgive him a bit of sloppy web design.

As it's now after 11 November, tickets are £24 for the whole event from 4pm onwards, or £12 for the Jackie and Jim concert at 4pm and £12 for the events from 7pm onwards - Trio Threlfall, Dave, Anni and Peter and the ceilidh. The singaround and music session from noon-3pm are free of charge. There are reduced rates for students and children.

Thanks Michael - I'm pinching myself when I realise it's a whole year since you came to sing at the Mudcat Blue Plate Specials last November!

My Dad grew up in Haddenham. I'd like to go, but I can't -- airfare from Ottawa is a bit of a stunner.

The 30th Haddenham festival takes place on Saturday 1st December. The official festival kicks off at 4pm with a concert which, according to the original advertised programme, should have been Jackie Oates and Karen Tweed, but unfortunately Karen has had to cancel, so we will fortunately instead, as now shown in the amended advertised programme have a rare opportunity to hear Jackie Oates with Jim Moray! Followed by the wonderful Trio Threlfall and then a performance by the sublime Dave Webber, Anni Fentiman and Brian Peters of "The Road to Mandalay" – Kiplings's Barrack Room Ballads set to music by the late Peter Bellamy – and for dancers, a ceilidh with the Old Swan Band.

As it's also the 40th year of Haddenham ceilidhs organised by John Heydon, we are celebrating John's longstanding and brilliant contribution in organising folk clubs (Herga), festivals (Sidmouth, Haddenham and the National) and ceilidhs (Oxhey Pavilion and Haddenham Village Hall) with a free singaround and (separate) music session from 12 noon to 3pm, also in Haddenham Village Hall. Hope lots of Catters can make it!

Kitty
