One down, two to go! We had a lovely evening in Gloucester last night. Huge thanks to the Cape Ann Cinema for inviting us to sing.

On to Hingham, MA!

Debra

I am sure this will be a wonderful evening of music, but all three are a bit far for me, especially with my car getting older. It spent last Thursday in the shop for a whining noise (belt needed to be replaced) and again yesterday (Wednesday) after vapor rose from under the hood (radiator hose had sprung a leak). I hope to catch up with you again a little closer to my home, and when I do I hope I won't have a cold and feel obliged to avoid you!

John Roberts and I have three shows in a row this coming weekend: Friday, Nov 16 in Gloucester, MA Saturday, Nov. 17 in Hingham, MA and Sunday, Nov 18 in Newtown, CT. Here are the details:

Friday, November 16th at 7:30 PM, we'll be performing a concert at the Cape Ann Cinema as part of the Cape Ann Film Festival. Admission is $15 and you can buy tickets in advance or at the door. The Cape Ann Community Cinema is located at 21 Main Street, Gloucester, MA 01930 and the phone number is (978) 309-8448. We are excited to be a part of this great event in Gloucester. So take in a movie (or two. Or three) and hear some great folk music!

Saturday, November 17th at 8:00 pm we'll be on the opposite Massachusetts shore in Hingham. The Old Ship Coffehouse On the Square is our destination on Saturday night. Admission is $12. Old Ship Church's handicapped-accessible Parish Hall, 107 Main St., Hingham, is just up from the Loring Hall Theatre, on the MBTA'S 220 bus from Quincy, and a scenic long walk from the West Hingham commuter rail station. For more information, call (781) 749-1767.

Sunday, November 18th at 3:00 PM sees us in southwestern CT in the lovely town of Newtown. Our good friend, Patricia Campbell and her husband Bill have been hosting house concerts for us traveling musicians for a few years now. This year they have "The Barn" and this is now where the concerts are located. This is a gorgeous area and Bill and Patricia are lovely hosts. Email countrydancecaller@gmail.com for reservations, address and directions.

Recordings from "Nowell Sing We Clear", "Roberts and Barrand" and of course, John's solo CD "Sea Fever" along with my newest CD "Among Friends" will be available at these performances. We will also be offering discounts if you purchase three or more CDs.

Hope to see some of you New Englanders this weekend!

More information and links can be found at my website

Debra
