Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Severn's smugly efficient Santa Date: 12 Dec 12 - 05:33 PM Damn elves are useless - they were ordered to tell you that your parcel was winging its way to you but you just can't get the staff these days! Fingers crossed it will be with you by the correct date - blame the reindeer if it's a bit late. Santa xxx |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Greg Stephens' Seasonal Elf Date: 12 Dec 12 - 03:16 PM The trebuchet rolled into the yard early this morning, all counterweights were put in place and calculations calculated. The It should travel in a large graceful arc, and the reindeer will keep an eye out, giving it an airborne assist if it appears to lose altitude too soon. Yr devoted Santa |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Santa calling Sarah of the Flute Date: 12 Dec 12 - 08:25 AM Just to let you know that one of my Christmas Fairies has delivered your parcel today. It should be tucked around near the ivy on your front step, perhaps you could check? Ho Ho Ho! |

Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: Nancy King Date: 11 Dec 12 - 03:20 PM Having been somewhat busier than usual this year, I never did get around to posting any hints. If it turns out I get coal and gruel, well, so be it. Hints I might have posted, had I been more on the ball, would have been virtually identical to those posted in previous years, so if my Santa -- who did send me a most mysterious postcard -- is industrious and enterprising, things should be fine. And of course coal and gruel can always be re-gifted... |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,, Hollowfox's Stealth Santa Date: 10 Dec 12 - 02:19 PM Things have been a bit frantic here at Santa Headquarters. The elves are on some kind of work to rule slow down and, though the presents have been wrapped for several weeks (I did that), and a suitable box for shipment located last week (I did that), I've had my hands full with enough minor annoyances to fill an interesting novel (which I'm composing in my head even as I type). The reindeer refuse to deliver anything until Christmas Eve and the backup team of cats... (Oops. Did I say "team" of cats?!?) Oh, well. (Oh, hell...) I'll deliver the package myself to the post office this very afternoon...on my way to pick up more eggnog...LOTS more eggnog. Just wanted you to be reassured that you do indeed HAVE a Secret Santa and that Santa is actually on the job and working on sending you some holiday cheer. SS |

Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Jennbrook's jubilant jovial Santa Date: 08 Dec 12 - 10:26 AM You've been very quiet, my little friend, but worry not - a package of assorted goodies is now just awaiting a helpful postal elf. Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: SINSULL Date: 08 Dec 12 - 09:27 AM Oh dear! I just discovered that the creche in the bottom of the bag isn't. Fortunately the batteries are dead. What does it play? The House of the Rising Son? The whole lovely display is in the bathroom where I am hoping I can count on Fred to decrease the population. Thank you Santa. I know you searched far and wide for this treasure. SINS |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: SINSULL Date: 07 Dec 12 - 07:02 PM oh Santa! You shouldn't have! No I really mean it. I wish you hadn't. I feel like Scrooge. "Are these the shadows of the things that will be, or are they shadows of things that may be, only?" Sighhhhhh So I will dutifully thank you for the bag of creches past and display them lovingly lest I anger you and get even worse. Those really are the tackiest angels I have seen since the arrival of the singing circling animals from hell with angels fountain. The twelve days of Christmas promise to be more like the 42 days of Lent. Not Easter surprises too? I am begging you - no Easter surprises!!!!! |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: Joybell Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:29 PM Oh. Thank you Santa. So good to hear from you. An elf? Do I need to know a password or something? Or maybe the answer to a cryptic question? I love secrets. And secret presents and secret prescences. Best regards and Joyous thoughts. Joy |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Joybell's Joyous Sleighbells Ringeth! Date: 07 Dec 12 - 06:11 AM Yes, O Joybell of the Awesome Possum, you DO have a Santa. Sorry I'm late in getting in touch and I hope I haven't put you through the ringer while waiting. I have an elf assigned to you that you will hear from soon, as I sent him in advance to do research on your likes, dislikes and numerous acts of goodness. As it is his first assignment Down Under, he may be doing some serious adjusting to his new surroundings, but expect a report soon. His prescence will determine your presents, but all I've heard so far is that a Rapparee-style hat is out of the question. His prior knowledge of the holidays there was based on watching an old Chips Rafferty movie a few times, but I'm sure he's acclimated by now. Just in a St. Nick of time! My Best Regards, Santa Claus |

Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Barbry's Bodacious Bringer of Ballast Date: 06 Dec 12 - 03:49 PM Ahoy, there, Barb'ry! This is yer Santa speakin'! I been scourin' the Seven Seas for the perfect booty for your stockin' this year, and been feedin' the reindeer extra goodies for the trip. They are planning for early take-off sometime this weekend, so swab yer decks and keep an eye on the crow's nest, for an air drop sometime later in the month! What with the shrinkin' ice floes and the unsettled seas, it'll be a rough voyage but we've seen dirtier weather, so hang tight to yer sheets and make ready fer our arrival! |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: SINSULL Date: 06 Dec 12 - 02:07 PM Dear Santa, Just in case: I own thirty five assorted inflatable and/or battery operated Santas, lobsters (one is 4' tall), tiny nuns by the hundreds, an inflatable moose head, assorted and mostly deformed flamingos, religious musical water fountains, flyable broomsticks, and just plain copious crap. I've been good. Maybe you could be too?????? SINS |

My house brownies, Hash and McGhee, as usual will be waiting in the courtyard out back of my townshack with provisions for you, your elves and your reindeer. I'll be home this year, fate willing, rather than in a horse-spittle and will look forward to opening up your package first thing. I always enjoy learning about my Santa's home area (I must be an expert on Polar folksongs by now) and have always been pleased with my gifts all these years. Let the mystery begin! |

I now know she was just toying with her Secret Santa. Well little Missy, your Secret Santa should have your pressies on their way to you very soon. That is, if Rudolph gets his GPS fixed. Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: maeve Date: 01 Dec 12 - 04:48 PM Dear Not-At-All-Cretinous-Santa, Thank you kindly for your efforts on my behalf. Thanks also to Mrs. Clause for her help...and you say I'll be visited by a Special Elf? How very clever of you. I'd best tidy up just to be ready. I never open gifts before their designated Opening Day. Is that Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Old Christmas, please. I'm afraid coal wouldn't be any use to us with all the firewood we have stacked, so I do want to get it right. Too busy to be anything but good, Maeve |

Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: GUEST,Sandra in Sydney's Secret Santa Date: 28 Nov 12 - 09:48 PM Well now. I haven't received ANY reports, naughty or nice, about S in S this year! Repeated requests made to Elves Down Under (a holey owned Sandra in Sydney's Secret Santa Syndicate subsidiary) have gone unanswered save for one. That came from Elf 429H32 and read AVHBM SERTW PKLJR RETYB BBHGT PORTW BZXXX YTWPY REBYT AAUXX This message contains a key word which tells me that all of the elves have been captured by Sandra in Sydney's Secret Service and are now acting as double agents. Since Elf 429H32 is no longer with us (he, she, or it voluntarily imploded) and no other elf Down Under knows the Super Secret Sandra in Sydney's Santa Kendall Morse Kode I must conclude that she has been naughty indeed this year. Too, too, bad. |
Subject: RE: Secret Santa - Santee teasers - 2012 From: Bat Goddess Date: 28 Nov 12 - 06:35 PM Ah, bat guano is a wonderful fertilizer for my overgrown and jungly flower beds. And my resident Little Brown Bat population is smaller than it used to be...I hope because their exit and entrance has been closed and not because of White Nose Syndrome. I hear they make clocks out of petrified cow patties. What can be made out of bat poop besides explosives and fertilizer? Linn, the Bat Goddess P.S. I really don't need any explosives... |
