Subject: For Sale: Belgarth 16' Tunable Bodhran From: buddhuu Date: 17 Nov 12 - 02:32 PM Reluctant sale, but it doesn't get played - which is criminal for such a nice instrument - and I have to find the money for a new guitar. Made by Eoin Leonard at Belgarth Bodhrans in Orkney. 16" tunable bodhran. Amazing heavy skin, ash frame, allen wrench tuning (key included). With gigbag and selection of beaters/tippers/cipin. This model currently goes for about £225 + shipping for just the drum on Amazon UK and the other online outlets I checked. I'm asking £100 + shipping for the bodhran, bag and tippers. Subject: RE: For Sale: Belgarth 16" Tunable Bodhran From: buddhuu Date: 18 Nov 12 - 06:12 AM Kat, if you mean the: And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no. And whether the skin be black or white as the snow. Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong. As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song. It's from "Air Fa La La Lo" by Hugh Robertson. Good recordings by The Dubliners; Ray and Archie Fisher; The McCalmans amongst others. The words to that verse are particularly wonderful. Dave, oh, my aching ribs. A bodhran gag? How clever of you. What a novel idea! LOL. If only someone would invent a few gags about drummers in general, banjos, accordians etc. ;-) |
