Subject: Jam Session @ Lewiston ME Museum
From: GUEST,Uncle Jaque
Date: 18 Nov 12 - 01:01 AM

A couple of months ago I did a gig at the Museum L-A for their "Power of Music" exhibition, and loaned them a couple of my antique instruments for display.

The museum is in one of the old shoe mills down by the river and is a pretty interesting historical venue in & of itself.
Plenty of space for a jolly good jam and pretty fair acoustics IMHO.

Got this E-mail a while back and wondered if any Mudcatters in the area might like to join me there.
Despite some medical issues I'm planning on trying to make it, although I'm wikkid rusty.

Kate writes:

"As part of the programming for The Power of Music, the Exhibit Committee has decided to hold regular 'jam sessions' at the Museum. We plan to invite any and all musicians to attend, jam together and generally celebrate music.

We have planned the first such jam session to coincide with Museum L-A's Old Fashioned Holiday Celebration, taking place on Saturday, December 8 from 12-4pm.
For the celebration, we will decorate the museum with a Victorian Christmas tree, display photos from Peck's Department store (a favorite Lewiston holiday staple), offer light refreshments and we have several other components planned as well.
I hope that you will be able to attend the Celebration and bring some of your instruments to play.
It should be a good opportunity to make new connections and play and listen to music from local musicians that you might not otherwise encounter.
I know that the weeks leading up to the holidays are busy for everyone, but I am hope that you will be able to attend and/or help us spread the word to fellow musicians.

Please let me know if you have any questions."
