Oh dear... I didn't even watch them first in my excitement. I didn't know they were so short. Shame. I have seen all of his TV shows and read his books and listened to his cassettes/CDs/DVDs and those clips pale terribly in comparison to his body of work and his contributions to Maine (and beyond) folk music and humour.

In any case, even those short clips personify the man, to a degree, "in short". The music... yeah, and I have heard Mudcatters of note say his songwriting is perfection, equalled, perhaps, but not surpassed. But, to me, it's the story telling I have witnessed as I can't write a tune worth a dime (yet?) but I can tell a damn good story and to listen to a master storyteller is a joy for me. I can attest that his storytelling is a true joy to witness. The only other person on this earth I want to share a wee drop with more than with him is gone so I guess I'll have to settle with meeting up with Kendall some day.

I'm glad you enjoyed them, gnu. I regularly conduct a google search on the show; this is the first time those 2 clips have shown up.

They are indeed short, but they show that MPBN does have some of the show on file. I wonder what effect Facebook members' comments might have in showing the level of interest there is in a return of the whole series?

I can't watch the links here because I have to upgrade my Flash player...and, alas, I can't do that unless I buy a new computer as the newer version of Flash doesn't work on either of my computers, which are over 8 years old.

Linn- I found the links to the 2 segments during my regular Google search for "In the Kitchen". It was MPBN that put them on Facebook. I have not found the links anywhere on the MPBN site.

It does occur to me those who can do so might want to leave a Facebook comment asking for the series to be re-aired; it's what some of us have been asking MPBN to do for some time. These two very short links might be their testing of the water, so to speak.

I wish Linn and Bobert could see the clips!

Which stove? the one that's in the kitchen? It was gas and it really did work. That set won an award for being so authentic.
One of my guests didn't finish his tea so he poured the dregs down the sink. It wasn't hooked up.

Okay... here's the deal. Many people have emailed MPBN/PBS about getting his TV shows aired again. Didn't help. What's with this here social media like Facebook? Twitter? whatever? I don't Face or Twit.

Any way to use any of that?

And, Kendall may know of other artists of his ilk that could benefit from such?
