Thanks for the link Al. I've not time to watch in full at the moment, but it looks very much like the presentation Will toured the UK with. If you should get a chance to go and see him, I'm sure you'd not be disappointed.

Did listen to the KPCC interview, very interesting.

Thanks Roger.

On this page is the programme I was telling you about - brilliant - well worth anyone who thinks he knows a bit about Guthrie watching.

Al, If you search Will Kaufman you'll find out lots. He toured a few years ago with a presentation on Woodie Guthrie. It was absolutely excellent.

2 good things easily missed

1) in depth interview with Ralph in Guitarist mag this month.

2) On a channel called Controversial TV - a programme very late last night called Democracy now. An interview with Woody's latest biographer - contributions from Pete Seeger Billy Bragg.

The biographer sound like an American. His name is Kaufman and he a professor at Lancashire University, en Angleterre no less. A very capable folkie, I would judge from tyhe cut of his gib. Do Fylde Festival people , like Alan and Pete Skinner know of his presence - he seems to me like a valuable local resource.

I believe the programme was initially shown in the States on Woody's birthday in July. So maybe, our American friends know a lot more about it than we do.
