Subject: Kate Wolf's Poet's Heart From: GUEST,amergin Date: 06 Dec 12 - 02:29 PM Some one started a discussion of this song on FB. They were wondering if she was talking about Eric Bogle, because of the line "I WROTE TO YOU SOMEWHERE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA". The rest of the song would make sense in that regard save for the line: "A POET'S HEART LOCKED IN THE COEUR D'ALENE" Which throws it completely off...as Eric is not from North Idaho, obviously enough...where this line would actually have some meaning. Does any one have any thoughts as to who she was referring to? |

From Wikipedia: Coeur d'Alene (Cœur d'Alène) is a Salishan language spoken by only five of the 800 individuals in the Coeur d'Alene Tribe on the Coeur d'Alene Reservation in northern Idaho, United States. It is considered an endangered language. Seems like she might have meant a language understood by few. |
Subject: RE: Kate Wolf's Poet's Heart From: GUEST,Me in my elegance Date: 06 Dec 12 - 04:27 PM The first verse is about Eric Bogle. The second verse is about Judy Mayhan. The third verse is about Bruce (Utah) Phillips. The fourth verse is about Kate and all of the above. |
