If you do
I'll still be here dear
Waiting longing for you.

All my life I've loved you so
Never dreamed I'd let you go
Now alone in my room at night
My heart is cryin'
It just ain't right

What in the world's come over you....

All that teenage angst - it's still here, Big sigh

LOL

Giovanni Domenico Scafone Jr., dba as "Jack Scott", is a violent bastard from Winsor, Ontario.

He is famous in the Music Industry for fist fights with men and violent abuse of women.

He would have gone to work for his Mob relatives had he not made the "easy bucks" singing.

As Neil Young might say: "piece of crap".

I think I have all his songs and I listen to them often. I always thought he was underrated and should have been one of the biggies.

Hmmm. And he always seemed like such a nice guy.

I loved "I Never Felt Like This". And "Is Their Something On Your Mind".

"The Way I Walk" one of my all time favourite rock'n'roll records.
The lyrics don't mean much at all on the printed page, but the overall
effect of the recording never fails to excite me. He made some pretty mediocre records in later years, but those earlier cuts are excellent.

I've met Jack Scott a few times as he gigs around the Detroit area quite a lot. pdq, as usual, is full of shit. Jack is a sweetheart of a guy. He is certainly not violent. When he recorded "Leroy" and "The Way I Walk" he was living with his parents. People EXPECTED him to be rough and tough but he is actually rather low-key and quiet. He has a stretch of 9 Mile Road in Highland Park named after him --Jack Scott Blvd.

He was one of the earliest rock artists to write most of his own material and use his actual band in the studio rather than studio musicians. That's the way we generally do things in the Detroit area. We're not LA or New York.

My statement about Jack Scott was done to illustrate what excess is allowed on Mudcat.

Obviously, it did not work as intended.

I retract it and apologize if anyone was offended.

He is actually a soft spoken gentleman! PDQ you are an A-HOLE hiding behind your computer - why don't you show up at one of his concerts - I would love to meet you and educate so that you can apologize for being so ignorant!

Jack still has an amazing voice and he truly is a living legend!
