I can only second what Sunjay said, it was a really enjoyable evening and a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere as well. It was great to see and hear Paul on a solo outing. Thank you, Sunjay (and his merry band of helpers) for organising this new club.

What an absolutely brilliant night at the Stourbridge Folk Club. Numbers are up, merriment was high & most importantly the music was fantastic. The Bushburys, who are making a comeback (they were never really away, but are doing things more regularly now) were great - a perfect introduction to the "main feature" - Mr. Paul Downes. I've haven't seen such a blinding performance in quite a while. Yes, Paul was on top form and I had the pleasure of being there to watch. Everybody was laughing, singing & I think it is safe to say everybody had a truly wonderful night. Paul Downes will be performing live at the Stourbridge Folk Club on Tuesday 18th December. Paul is a master guitarist and singer, he has been involved in bands such as 'Downes & Beer', 'The Arizona Smoke Review', 'The Joyce Gang' and more recently with Mick Ryan & Maggie Boyle.
