I know a lot of clubs/ sessions change the programme over the holidays so I wondered what is still on
23 December to 10 Jan 2013?.

We can't do our weekly Wednesday sesh for the next 2 weeks 'cos the pub's closed.

However, there's loads other stuff going on inc a mini folk fest next w/end in deepest Wales!

In North Kent
The Rainham folk club is having a xmas do at the social club in the High street on Friday 21. Take your instruments but there will be guests.
The Good Intent pub in Rochester is having a wasssail weekend.22.23 December.

Also on Boxing Day The Powderkegs will be dancing outside, then singing, playing, and mucking about inside, The Horseshoe on High Lane, Stockport, SK6 8AA.

Dancing at noon, and yes hoping that the forecast is proved wrong!

On Saturday 28th December The Friends of Judy Woods have a walk (1pm) in the woods followed by Thieving Magpie and The Famous Bradshaw Mummers (approx 2.30). Afterwards our annual sing. Peartree Inn Norwood Green between Halifax and Bradford see www.judywoods.org.uk

The cambridge folk club is having a play in on new years day but their web site has been hacked so details a bit sketchy at the moment.

Boxing Day, Grenoside first and Handsworth Long sword, near Sheffield

Boxing day noon at Heath Common Wakefield Wakefield Morris and a bit of pay in the Kings Head

I usually go to the Saw at Cleckheaton which is a follow on from The Wickham noted above a trad LS dance followed bya grand sing with some notable musicians and WY singers with Christmassy Carols

Boxing Day at Greatham, just north of the Tees, Redcar Sword Dancers perform the Greatham Sword Dance Play sharp at MIDDAY as they have for well over 40 years followed by singing in the nearby staunchly real ale free pub, but all NE UK folkies know this!
The pub next door has real ale and a singing room available.
