Does anyone know a song that goes: Oh you Mississippi river, with waters so deep and wide,
My thoughts of you keep rising, just like an evening tide....

I think it was a Jimmy Rodgers song, also done by Hank Snow.

Thats it. I knew it except for the pack my grip. that verse I forgot.
Been thinking of doing it as a poem with simple guitar accompaniment.

This was written by Jimmie Rodgers. I think he recorded several versions of the song.
