Yeah, that's my point here--the two parties are one. Both are capitalizing on the latest big shooting by moving to put guns IN the schools.

Big government has sold off our manufacturing, our water rights, our labor for generations to come through debt creation, and now it wants our kids. It will place them under lock and load as opposed to lock and key, and then when the civil war begins, well, they'll keep the kids safe in an armed compound. And you WON'T be getting them back.

A shooting in Connecticut leads to all school kids in America being under the armed control of Blackwater.

Kucinich and Paul are likewise about the only 2 American politicians who have much impressed me with their ideals and their political positions on various vital matters such as foreign policy and monetary policy, but I've long ago given up trying to explain why on this forum. It doesn't do any good to. In fact, I probably shouldn't even have posted this! Why draw more useless negative attention to myself from the hyperbolic little personal-attack crowd of politically-obsessed, partyline-fixated madmen here? It's like climbing up on top of the trench line in WWI and holding up a sign saying: "Don't shoot! We are all brothers here. We should stop killing each other NOW and go home."

Good luck, right? You get shot for your troubles. Perhaps even executed as a "traitor" to the righteous cause...

Just in case anyone else besides the OP failed to graduate from 8th grade civics, the Posse Commitatus Act dos not apply to the authority of a state governor over the National Guard.

He supports Eric Holder's arming of the Mexican drug cartels so they can run his supply of pot into the country. Supports mass slaughter of Mexican children so he can get high, then in his loadedness he pretends to giveashit about the Sandy Hook children. Typical neoliberal. Doesn't know why he's doing Obama's two-step goosestep, but the dance at the moment is calling for fake rage over guns. Next it'll be fake rage over Republicans blocking "necessary cuts" in Social Security. Or something similar. As long as he's in motion dancing for Obama he's happy.

I find it odd how the far left-wing Boxer and the far right-wing Wayne LaPierre agree that guns need to be forced on schools:

Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer of California, a bottomless fountain of foolishness, has proposed a measure that would permit governors to deploy National Guard troops to provide "security" at government-run schools.

"Is it not part of the national defense to make sure that your children are safe?" Boxer asked during a Capitol Hill press conference in the misguided belief that this content-free trope somehow constituted compelling wisdom.

She blithely stated that her proposal wouldn't be a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act (which was supposed to prevent the domestic use of the military for the purpose of law enforcement) because it would allow governors to re-purpose troops who are already being used for drug interdiction operations. That is to say, the militarization of schools wouldn't constitute a new Posse Comitatus violation, but rather expand on an existing one.
